OUR HISTORY

Macraes is rich in history.  A history that starts in the early 1300s AD in pre-European times, and had colourful periods during the late 1800’s during gold rushes and the establishment of the Macraes township and farming in the area.  The geology, flora and fauna of the area are also steeped in history.  Take a step back in time and immerse yourself in yesteryear.
